There are a lot of feste, or street celebrations, in Italy. Each small village has its own tutelary saint and for that reason its own festa. There is a real sense of community, and the effort they take into preparing food, making music, dancing, children's circus, fireworks theatre, movie theater, markets and so on, is exceptional.
